He may be a little bit biased, but Obama’s press secretary, Robert Gibbs, says the president did a great job on Jon Stewart's Daily Show Wednesday night. At a daily briefing at the White House, Gibbs said that when Obama "gets to talk about what he's done, and sift through what people may or may not have heard, it's a positive benefit ...I would think of it as a success." Stewart was a tough interviewer, at one point grilling Obama on why he had passed such "timid" legislation. Many criticized the booking—and its timing, given the upcoming elections—but Gibbs maintained that the interview was a sound decision.
