Talk about a speedy recovery: On Friday, Gabrielle Giffords will leave the hospital in Tuscon, Arizona, where she has been since she was nearly fatally shot in the head just two weeks ago. According to the press, the congresswoman will move to Houston's Institute for Rehabilitation and Research at Memorial Hermann hospital, which specializes in helping patients to recover from severe brain injuries. Giffords' mother wrote to family and friends in an email on Tuesday that her daughter has been looking through photos on her husband's iPhone and demonstrating "higher levels of comprehension and complex actions."
