Marilou Danley, the girlfriend of the gunman in Sunday night’s Las Vegas massacre, arrived in the U.S. from the Philippines late Tuesday and was reportedly met by federal agents for questioning. Danley, described as a “person of interest” by Las Vegas police, was overseas when Stephen Paddock gunned down 58 people attending a country music festival on the Las Vegas Strip. Authorities had earlier said they did not believe Danley had anything to do with the attack but hoped to speak with her in the hopes of determining Paddock’s motive. Danley’s return from the Philippines comes shortly after investigators announced that Paddock wired thousands of dollars to the country. It’s not clear if Danley was the recipient of the funds. Sheriff Joseph Lombardo of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said earlier Tuesday that a “substantial amount” of information on Paddock’s motive would come out in the next 48 hours.
