‘Go the F—k to Sleep’ Tops Times’ Bestsellers

The mock-children’s book sensation, Go The F--k to Sleep, will debut this week at number one on The New York Times’ bestseller list for advice books. It also sits on top of Amazon.com’s bestseller list. The picture book began as a joke by its author, Adam Mansbach, on Facebook; he turned it into a real book, with illustrations, after his friends’ loved the joke. Publishers were worried when a PDF of the book leaked online and went viral months ago, but it appears to have only increased the appetite for the actual thing. Samuel L. Jackson and Werner Herzog both held readings of the book at its launch event at the New York Public Library Tuesday.
