The bosses at investment bank Goldman Sachs are collecting bonuses next month from their record-setting 2007 awards. CEO Lloyd Blankfein will earn around $24 million. President Gary Cohn will make slightly less. Those numbers are down from the more than $65 million each collected in 2007 and reflect a decline in the value of Goldman's stock. Within a year of earning those eye-popping numbers, Goldman was on the receiving end of a $10 billion government bailout. Said one Wall Street expert, “Clearly we now look back and say, ‘Were things fine? Should they have paid? Maybe not.' There’s nothing you can do about it. The payouts were in stone. But hopefully, in the future, they won’t be.”
