A motorist stuck in the snow on Friday shot and killed a man who was trying to help him. According to a local sheriff’s account of the incident, which occurred in North Carolina, the shooter’s car slid off an icy road and two or three men driving by decided to stop and help. The snow-bound man, however, became belligerent. “They thought he was drunk and said ‘let’s just call the law and let them deal with it,’” the sheriff said. As the men walked back to their car, the man whose car was stuck pulled out an automatic pistol and began shooting. One of the good Samaritans fell to the ground and the shooter walked up to him and shot the man on the ground “numerous times.” The suspect has been arrested on murder charges.
