Representative Dana Rohrabacher (R-CA.) reportedly called the White House on Wednesday attempting to broker a deal in which WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange could be pardoned in exchange for what he described as evidence that Russia was not WikiLeaks' source for the hacked emails it published during the 2016 campaign. The Wall Street Journal reported that Rohrabacher spoke with Chief of Staff John Kelly and said Assange could probably present evidence, in computer drive form, that Russia was not their source. “He would get nothing, obviously, if what he gave us was not proof,” Rohrabacher reportedly said.
