Fredricka Gray, the twin sister of Freddie Gray, said she didn’t agree with the unrest that broke out across Baltimore on Monday, adding that her brother was not a violent person. Speaking at a conference at the New Shiloh Baptist Church on Monday night, Gray’s family said they were disappointed in the violence that erupted earlier in the day following the funeral of Freddie Gray. Elsewhere, Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake called the incident “one of our darkest days as a city.” The mayor said she will protect people’s right to protest, but emphasized, “I never said, nor would I ever say, that we are giving people space to destroy our city.” The mayor also vowed to bring order and peace to the city.
