It's a slow-motion disaster out in the Gulf Coast and residents and businesses that rely on its waters have been forced into a waiting game. They're looking for oil, and they don't where it will come from—or when. "We're in some kind of a stasis right now. I don't know why but I'll take it," said the Coast Guard's Thad Allen. Gulf Coast communities are sticky with rumors about the oil's arrival. Some think the damage could be as bad as the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. "It's out there," a retired U.S. Forest Service worker told The Wall Street Journal. "Three days ago the wind was coming out of the South and you could smell it."
