One of the more unexpected details to come in the aftermath of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords' shooting: Giffords' father is the first cousin of the late Bruce Paltrow, who was the father of actress Gwyneth Paltrow. "Although I have never had the pleasure of meeting Congresswoman Giffords, my thoughts and prayers are with her and her family as well as the other victims of this horrible act of senseless violence," Paltrow said in a statement. And the Paltrow-Giffords connection isn't the only surprising celebrity relationship in the story: One Tree Hill star Sophia Bush was cousins with Christina Green, the 9-year-old girl killed in Sunday's shooting. "There are no words to explain what my cousin's family is going through in Arizona," Bush wrote on Twitter. "How can this be? Violence is never the answer."
