Could the hackers who infiltrated the Sony PlayStation's network have made off with gamers' credit cards? Members of online hacker forums are claiming to have access to credit card details they stole form the network during a mid-April attack that forced Sony to shut down its network for more than a week. Meanwhile, some PlayStation users have begun to report fraudulent charges on their credit cards, though the timing could be coincidental. Kevin Stevens of the security firm Trend Micro said he had seen discussions on several hacker forums about the Sony databases, including hackers hoping to sell the credit card list for $100,000. Stevens also said one forum member talked about offering to sell the list back to Sony, but that Sony did not respond. Sony insisted that the credit card information was encrypted, but wouldn't rule out that the data had been stolen.
