Harry Arrives in Belize
Prince Harry has arrived for the first leg of his Caribbean tour, flying into Belize airport in a small private jet from Miami.Despite earlier rumors of a delay, he landed bang on time at 4:25pm local time for a red carpet welcome with the Governor General of Belize, the head of state who represents the Queen in the former colony which still counts the Queen as its head of state.Harry, dressed in a dark suit, blue shirt and burgundy tie, displayed his inherently casual approach to life and rather than getting himself prepared on the plane, bounded off within seconds of the engines beign cut off, and then spent several minutes attempting to button his jacket as he shook hands with local dignitaries on the windy tarmac. He then made his way to a small raised dais where he stood somewhat uncomfortably as the national anthems of Belize and the UK were played.Harry then was escorted into the small airport, and is expected to set off shortly to a ‘Diamond Jubilee Block Party’ being organised in his honour. He will be offered a selection of local rums and the island’s iconic Belikin beer.
