Saw this one coming: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2 broke Hollywood's record, taking in in $80 million at the U.S. box office on Friday, beating the $72 million single-day record set by Twilight: New Moon. Thursday's midnight screenings alone took in $43.5 million, itself a record. Some analysts have predicted that the last Harry Potter film will gross $180 million in the U.S. by Sunday night, leading it to surpass the previous weekend record of $158 million set by 2008's The Dark Knight.
