Police in Bangladesh say a Hindu priest was hacked to death Friday while collecting followers at a temple, the latest in a string of vicious killings of minorities. Officials said Shaymanonda Das, 45, was attacked with a machete by three people on motorbikes while preparing morning prayers. Police have not yet detained any suspects. Since February 2013, more than 40 people have been killed by Islamist militants in the predominantly Muslim country. The victims have been bloggers, scholars, gay-rights activists, and religious minorities. More than 16,000 suspects have been detained in a wide crackdown, but the attacks have continued.
