An employee at the Munson Army Health Center at Fort Leavenworth in Kansas has been charged with pouring gasoline on his female supervisor and setting her on fire. Police say 54-year-old Clifford Currie also assaulted the victim with a straight-edge razor before another employee intervened and stopped the Wednesday attack. The victim was on fire from the neck up when the attack was stopped, and she was rushed to a hospital, along with another employee who was injured in the melee. Currie was subdued by other employees and arrested once police arrived. He faces 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine on charges of assault with intent to commit murder. The health center, which is an outpatient clinic employing both civilians and military personnel, was closed all day Thursday while investigators processed the scene. It remains unclear what the motive was.
