Hurricane Earl has been downgraded to a Category 2 hurricane, but don’t put the umbrella away yet. The storm is expected to pass through the Outer Banks of North Carolina on Thursday night as it continues up the East Coast. Hurricane warnings have been issued for Nantucket, Martha’s Vineyard, and now also for Nova Scotia. According to experts, it’s the strongest hurricane to threaten the northeast and New England since Hurricane Bob in 1991.
