Kathryn Bigelow's Iraq war nail-biter The Hurt Locker took home two of the top awards on Friday night's Critics' Choice awards, winning for best picture and best director, but the films with the biggest haul were Inglourious Basterds and Avatar, which took home three and six awards, respectively. Avatar took home many of the technical awards, including best cinematography, sound and visual effects, while Quentin Tarantino won for his Inglourious Basterds screenplay. Meryl Streep and Sandra Bullock tied for best actress honors for their roles in Julie and Julia and The Blind Side.
