So much for no one loving schmucks. Dinner for Schmucks, the new comedy starring Steve Carell and Paul Rudd, took in $8.4 million on its Friday debut, beating out Christopher Nolan's Inception, which was in its third weekend. As the weekend continued, however, Inception showed its incredible staying power. Come Sunday, the blockbuster remained in the top spot with $27.5 million, bringing the movie’s total haul to $193.3 million. Dinner for Schmucks brought in $23.3 million. The other two wide releases, Cats and Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore and Charlie St. Cloud, were the fifth and sixth place openings, respectively. Last week’s new release, Salt, starring Angelina Jolie, came in third.
