Soon, all that will be left to do is flip the “on” switch: Iran has begun loading fuel rods into its nuclear plant at Bushehr, one of the final steps to realizing its state goal of generating peaceful nuclear power. The U.S. once opposed the plant but dropped its objections after Russia said it would provide and dispose of the nuclear fuel. It is expected to begin generating electricity early next year.
