A minister in Benjamin Netanyahu’s government tells Time magazine that Israel is nervously watching the protests in Egypt, which has been, along with Jordan, Israel’s only neighbors to sign treaties with the Jewish state. "We believe that Egypt is going to overcome the current wave of demonstrations, but we have to look to the future," the minister says. While he said that, in general, democracies make better neighbors “because democracies do not initiate wars,” he added, “I’m not sure the time is right for the Arab region to go through the Democratic process.” He says, “It seems now we have quite an earthquake.”
