Jordan’s King Abdullah spilled some details on President Obama’s highly ambitious Mideast peace plan that aims to end more than 60 years of conflict between Israel and Arab nations. The King told the Times of London that if Israel doesn’t settle its territory disputes with Palestine, as well as Syria and Lebanon, a new conflict will break out within a year. Abdullah says that though Israel has rejected a two-state solution, the proposal will ask them to accept a “57-state” solution, one in which the entire Arab world would recognize the Jewish state. In order to encourage the Israelis to stop building on the West Bank, Arab parties might offer incentives such as the right for the Israeli airline to fly over Arab space and may release more visas for Israeli tourists.
