Jamaican drug lord Christopher “Dudus” Coke, who set off riots in some of the poorest regions of his home country after U.S. agents came searching for him in June, is in police custody, the Jamaican Observer said Tuesday. Coke is wanted on charges of gun and drug trafficking by the U.S., and 73 civilians have been killed in the fight between police and civilians to find him. Jamaica’s government extended the state of emergency until July 22nd only hours before Coke’s capture. Police said Coke turned himself into Rev. Al Miller and Coke is reportedly prepared to waive his right to an extradition hearing.
