A Japanese man set himself on fire at Tokyo's Shinjuku railway station on Sunday. The man, who was wearing a suit and tie and appears to be in his 50s or 60s, was apparently protesting a potential change in Japan's constitution. This week, Prime Minister Shinzo Abe is expected to adopt a resolution that would end a ban on foreign military involvement, which has been in the U.S.-drafted constitution since it was enacted in 1947. A witness said he “was sitting cross legged and was just talking, so I thought it would end without incident. Then all of a sudden his body was enveloped in fire.” The man is alive, but has been taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
