Endorsements from political family dynasties can go a long way, evidenced by Obama’s securing of Kennedy family support during his campaign. But while his father chose Mitt Romney last week, Jeb Bush has not thrown support in favor of any GOP candidate. The Washington Post reports Jeb’s endorsement is “coveted” among the Republican field and that his own family members predict that he’ll be the next president in the family. The former Florida governor could have great impact for a candidate approaching the January primary in that state. His father, former President George H.W. Bush, stopped short of an official endorsement of a Republican candidate on Thursday, but backed Mitt Romney and said the former Massachusetts governor is a “fine person.” Former President George W. Bush has remained mum.
