News anchor Bill O’Reilly isn’t happy about Jennifer Aniston’s recent comments on artificial insemination, the topic of her latest movie The Switch. During a press conference for the film, Aniston said, “Women are realizing more and more that… they don’t have to fiddle with a man to have that child… They are realizing if it’s that time in their life and they want this part they can do it with or without that.” But the host of The O’Reilly Factor spoke out on his show Tuesday night, calling her comments “destructive to our society.” O’Reilly said that she is “throwing a message out to 12-year-olds and 13-year-olds that, ‘Hey you don’t need a guy. You don’t need a dad.” According to O’Reilly, “Dads bring a psychology to children that is in this society, I believe, underemphasized. I think men get hosed all day long in the parental arena… The fathers who do try hard are underappreciated and diminished by people like Jennifer Aniston.” At the end of the segment, O’Reilly urged the actress to “get her butt right in [to the show]” if she wanted to explain her comment. Neither Miramax or Fox News offered an immediate response on the dispute.
