Kanye West admitted he considered suicide multiple times in the past at a screening of his new film Runaway this week. The rap star went on to say, “I will not give up on life again." As a self-proclaimed “pop icon” and “soldier for culture,” West said he feels the responsibility to press on through difficult times. "There's so many people that will never get the chance to have their voice heard,” he explained. “I do it for them." West didn’t offer details of when or why he thought about taking his own life. The rapper is credited as the director of Runaway, which features nine of his songs and a bold camera style. The 35-minute movie premieres this weekend on MTV, VH1, and BET.
