Massachusetts police say the Orlando shooter, Omar Mateen, referenced the Tsarnaev brothers in a 911 call he made during Sunday’s attack. Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev carried out the April 2013 bombing on the Boston Marathon that killed three and injured hundreds of others. It is not clear what exactly Mateen said about the Boston Marathon bombers, but he also reportedly praised the Islamic State terror group. Massachusetts authorities said they learned of his Boston Marathon comments only after speaking to federal law enforcement.
