Revisiting a very familiar battle, the Boston Celtics and the Los Angeles Lakers are going head to head yet again in the NBA Finals. In the first game, which took place on Lakers home turf, the L.A. team led 50-41 at halftime. They managed to hold that lead, winning 102-89 for the first game of the seven game series. Kobe Bryant scored 30 points, with Paul Pierce being the leading scorer for the Celtics, with 24 points. The rivalry is one for the ages: This is the 12th time the two teams have met in the finals. Their last duel was in 2008, which Bynum missed due to an injury. The next game takes place on Sunday, at Staples Center.
