A new lawsuit filed against the Trump campaign alleges that Earl Phillip, the campaign’s former North Carolina State Director, pulled a gun on a staffer, and that the campaign did nothing after a complaint was filed. The victim staffer, Vincent Bordini, described in the lawsuit how while Phillip was driving with Bordini to check on campaign volunteers in South Carolina, the state director “produced a pistol, put his right index finger on the trigger, and drove the barrel into Vincent’s knee cap.” Bordini claims Phillip stared at him as he continued to drive, and that the pistol was loaded and its safety was off. The complaint then describes how after Bordini reported the incident to both national field director Stuart Jolly, and to then-campaign manager Corey Lewandowski, neither of them took action to terminate Phillip’s employment. Additionally, Bordini cites two other staffers who claim they’ve had a gun pulled on them by Phillip, who was replaced in his position only last week.
