The Cleveland Cavaliers’ LeBron James signed a lifetime deal with Nike, the company confirmed Tuesday. A Nike spokesperson declined to say how much the athletic-gear maker paid in the deal, but one source familiar with the negotiations told ESPN it is the largest single-athlete contract in company history. The deal also surpasses the $300 million, 10-year contract Nike signed with the Oklahoma City Thunder’s Kevin Durant this year, ESPN reports. The agreement is believed to be Nike’s first-ever lifetime deal.
