The Libyan rebels have issued their demands, and it doesn’t look good for Col. Muammar Gaddafi. In the opposition-stronghold city of Benghazi, rebels in the National Libyan Council said they will not negotiate peace with Gaddafi, and they again urged for foreign intervention. "If there is any negotiation it will be on one single thing—how Gaddafi is going to leave the country or step down so we can save lives,” said rebel spokesman Ahmed Jabreel. Led by former Libyan Interior Minister Mustafa Abdel-Jalil, who defected last month, the council is working now to oust government forces in oil port city of Brega, where forces loyal to Gaddafi launched air strikes Thursday. In Washington, President Obama said Gaddafi “ must leave” and the president said he was considering the opposition’s request to implement a no-fly zone over the country, which could pave the way for foreign intervention.
