Talk about refusing to give up: John Isner of Tampa and Nicolas Mahut of France are locked in an epic tennis match, which has gone on for more than nine hours and isn't over yet. The first-round duel has broken the record for the longest-ever match by more than three hours—the previous record was at the 2004 French Open. Isner and Mahut have played more than 110 games in the fifth set alone. The match started Tuesday night, but was suspended due to darkness after four sets, and resumed Wednesday morning, but was suspended again at 9:10 pm Wednesday, tied 59-59. "This is surreal," said Isner's former coach Manny Diaz. "The scoreboard isn't even working; [it doesn't] even know how to get to these numbers."
