Muammar Gaddafi isn’t going away without a fight. A spokesman for the embattled dictator said Sunday that 17 “mercenaries” were captured in Bani Walid, a loyalist stronghold. The spokesman said that the detained included French and British “technical experts.” "Most of them are French, one of them is from an Asian country that has not been identified, two English people, and one Qatari," Moussa Ibrahim told a Syrian news channel. He added that the 17 would appear on television in the future. The news comes as the rebels aim to end the battle with Gaddafi loyalists, including the city of Sirte, and secure the entire nation.
