A 6.3-magnitude earthquake shook central Chile late Tuesday, but no damage or injuries were reported. The quake, which struck at 9:33 p.m. local time, caused buildings to shake in Santiago, 200 miles southeast of the epicenter near Ovalle, according to U.S. Geological Survey. The navy said no tsunami alert was issued along its coast. The USGS reported a 5.1-magnitude aftershock at 9:47 p.m. in the same region.
