A 39-year-old man identified as Carlin Q. Williams has reportedly filed legal documents requesting a DNA test to confirm whether he is the son of late rock icon Prince. According to Williams’s mother, Marsha Henson, she met Prince in the lobby of the Kansas City’s Crown Center Hotel in 1976 before the pair drank wine and had unprotected sex in a hotel room. Henson stated in an affidavit that she did not have sex with any other individual six weeks before the Prince encounter, leading her to believe the “Purple Rain” crooner is Williams’s father. Because he was not identified as a son in the probate case surrounding Prince’s will, Williams has requested DNA samples.
