A raid on a home in Pennsylvania uncovered something we’d never heard of: 85 New Guinea Singing Dogs—the rarest breed in the world. The animals, which look a lot like Shiba Inus, come from New Guinea, have unique genes, can climb trees like foxes, and, of course, they “sing.” The dogs were found in enclosures; their owner, Randy Hammond, bought four pups 14 years ago. He’s been charged with animal cruelty. Other singing-dog owners are helping to find the homes for the animals.
