In 2002, photographer Mark Seliger created a wry collection of photographs of supermodel-turned-Project Runway host Heidi Klum for GQ in 2002 entitled “Heidi Does Hollywood.” The series is now up for sale at West Hollywood’s Guy Hepner Contemporary Gallery. Though Seliger, who's under contract with Condé Nast Publications, has had the extraordinary opportunity to capture the world’s most famous faces on film, his close relationship to Klum allowed for incredibly intimate portraits beyond “The Body” we see typically on the glossy pages of fashion magazines or on the reality-television runway. In portrayals of femme fatales from Jessica Rabbit and Basic Instinct’s Sharon Stone to Mena Suvari’s American Beauty pose and Phoebe Cates’ immortal Fast Times at Ridgemont High dream girl, Seliger captures Klum’s charisma, fervor, and sex appeal while recounting some of the strongest, sexiest stars in cinematic history.
