An early Monday morning fire in Los Angeles that closed two freeways and destroyed an under-construction apartment building is being investigated as criminal, police say. More than 250 firefighters battled the blaze, which began at around 1:20 a.m. at a luxury apartment tower being built and could be seen as far away as the Hollywood Hills. It was put out within 90 minutes, but nearby buildings were damaged before it came under control. "There may have been some foul play," says LAPD Captain Jaime Moore.
