This should be fun. Michael Steele, the gaffe-prone former chairman of the Republican National Committee, is joining MSNBC as a political analyst. Since he lost a long-shot bid at re-election to Reince Priebus, Steele has made several appearances on The Rachel Maddow Show and other MSNBC programs. There were reports this winter that Steele was in talks with CNN and Fox News to become a contributor, but they never materialized. He also works as a columnist at The Root. His tenure as RNC head was marked by mini-scandals and gaffes, a phenomenon he once called “ foot-in-mouth disease.”
