At least 15 people were killed when a car bomb exploded outside a hotel in Mogadishu, Somalia, on Saturday before gunmen stormed the building shooting at random and taking hostages. The attack is believed to have been carried out by the Islamic militant group al-Shabaab, which routinely terrorizes the country. In addition to the 15 deaths, at least 25 people were injured in the attack, which took place at the Naso-Hablod hotel, near the city's airport. The hostage situation is ongoing while Somali forces try to retake the hotel. "They started with a suicide bomb and then stormed in," a police spokesman said. "Now they are inside and the heavy exchange of gunfire continues."
