A mother and grandmother were killed and three others—including an 11-month old boy—were injured in a shooting on Chicago's South Side Monday night. The family was returning from an outing and getting out of their parked car when a vehicle drove up and opened fire. The 23-year-old mother and the 46-year-old grandmother were later pronounced dead at the hospital, according to Deputy Chief of Detectives Eugene Roy. A 25-year-old man was shot in both legs and a 25-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to the abdomen. No one was in custody and it's not immediately clear if the family was the intended target. The 11-month-year-old was taken to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the side and his condition had stabilized, police said.
