The 75-year old Philip Roth shows no sign of slowing down. The acclaimed author of Portnoy's Complaint and the Zuckerman series will be releasing novels in both 2009 and 2010. The first, titled The Humbling, will revisit familiar Rothian territory, as an aging actor's "empty life is altered by 'a counterplot of unusual erotic desire.'” The second novel, Nemesis, about a polio epidemic in 1944, will take place in Newark, the author's hometown and a familiar setting to any regular reader of the author. With the publication of Nemesis, the Pulitzer Prize winner will have written 31 books.
