Naomi Campbell to Design Clothing Line: Forty-four-year-old supermodel Naomi Campbell is reportedly taking her talents to the design world. "I've been approached by a few brands to design a line for them, it's something that interests me and I'm in negotiations," she told the Daily Mail on Tuesday. Earlier this year at the Vogue Festival, the model hinted at a potential clothing line: "I always had this feeling of, I love working with designers—I don’t want to be their competition, and maybe if I do my own line they won’t work with me anymore..." she explained. "I see there’s lots of things that are not there that I feel that I’d like to have, and so I’d like to share it with everybody. So yes, I will, and hopefully one of the things will be out by 2015." Cara Delevingne Calls Out Vogue Writer: In the July 2014 issue of Vogue, writer Plum Sykes profiles "everyone's favorite rebel model," British beauty (and wild child) Cara Delevingne. Delevingne, however, is not too pleased with Sykes's repeated accounts of the model falling asleep (she first oversleeps and arrives late to their meeting, then again while having a massage during a break). The model took to Twitter to defend herself against the profile, particularly highlighting the final sentence of Sykes's piece, which reads, "Dear reader, can I say that to oversleep once for a Vogue interview may be regarded as a misfortune, but to oversleep twice looks like carelessness?" "Why do people in the industry lie so much???? They would rather see you fail than succeed. What happened to supporting each other," Delevingne tweeted. "All I can say is that I work extremely hard and 'sleeping' is proof that sometimes I work too hard. I apologise for being so ambitious." [Cosmopolitan]
Emily Ratajkowski Claims She Can't Get a Date: Best known for her role in Robin Thicke's controversial music video, "Blurred Lines," model Emily Ratajkowski opens up to GQ (she covers the magazine's July 2014 issue) about the trials and tribulations of dating. "Generally, I just think there is a real lacking in men knowing how to hit on women," the newly-single model said. "I have this whole running joke with someone: 'What Would Denzel [Washington] Do?' Like, you don't think about how many days you should wait to call the girl—you just do it when you want." Ratajkowski also highlights the difficulties of getting hit on at a bar. "Bars are bad," she said. "Generally, people don't want to be embarrassing. But when there's alcohol involved and group mentality, it can be a little weird. Guys will say, 'You know who you look like,' and then word spreads. Or guys do this thing where they go, 'I would love to take a picture of you for my friend.' And then they get out their phone and their hand's shaking, and I'm like, 'You're taking this for your friend? I thought you didn't care.'" [GQ]
