Native Americans will not be prevented from growing or selling marijuana on reservations, the Justice Department announced Thursday. This includes reservations in states that ban growing and selling of marijuana. The new stance, released in a memorandum, will be implemented on a case-by-case basis. Some tribes openly oppose legalizing pot on their lands, and in those cases, federal officials will continue to enforce the law if requested to do so.
