At least according to one measure, Americans have never been as well-off as they were in 1972. A new report from the Labor Department shows that weekly wages for most employees that year were $811 in today's dollars, compared to just $703 per week March 2015. To make things even worse, wages for "non-supervisory employees" 0.4 percent from February to March.
