It passed in Congress two weeks ago, but the battle over the stimulus is only, it seems, beginning. The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee is launching an aggressive robocall campaign in the districts of a dozen House Republicans who opposed the stimulus, attacking them for opposing the "largest tax cut in history." The news comes on the heels of a high-proflie schism within the Republican party over how to deal with the stimulus as well as news that House Democrats are embarking on a second spending bill estimated at $410 billion. The legislators under attack include two Pennsylvanians, two Californians, and presentatives from Texas and Florida -- an early hint at which districts the Democrats view as vulnerable.
