The New York Times really wants everyone to know its 420-friendly. A week after its editorial board came out in support of marijuana legalization, the nationally-revered newspaper ran its first advertisement for marijuana in its Sunday edition. The Seattle-based Privateer Holdings took out a full page ad for Leafly.com, a website that helps users select marijuana dispensaries and specific strains. The ad plays up the use of medical marijuana, depicting a woman jogging with the caption "While fighting cancer, Molly preferred a sativa cannabis.” Perhaps as a counterbalance, the New York Times did run an ad for a group opposed to marijuana legalization on Saturday.
