It’s not just News Corp.’s tabloids that allegedly used hacking to get what they want. In 2003 News Corp.’s News America Marketing division hacked into the computers of Floorgraphics, its competitor in the market for floor-based advertising. When Floorgraphics sued News America, the company admitted to the hacking, but said it had been unable to locate who was responsible. The FBI and U.S. Attorney’s Office are now taking a new look at the Floorgraphics case.
