The Carolina Panthers’ Greg Hardy had agreed to go on the NFL’s Exempt/ Commissioner's Permission List, which effectively suspends him indefinitely with pay. A district judge convicted Hardy of multiple counts of assault and communicating threats against his ex-girlfriend a few weeks ago, but he is currently awaiting a jury trial in North Carolina. Despite his summer conviction, Hardy played in the Panthers’ first game of the season. However, following the Ray Rice video, he was de-activated. Hardy is accused of strangling his former girlfriend Nicole Holder and pressing four loaded rifles against her. She says he threatened to kill her if she went to the cops.
