Norwegian gunman Anders Behring Breivik prepared a bigger bomb at the farm he rented, Norwegian military sources said Wednesday. The sources said they found a bomb weighing 1.5 tons, while the bomb he set off weighed an estimated 0.95 tons. Breivik, 32, set off a bomb in downtown Oslo, killing eight, before going on a shooting rampage in the town of Utoya, killing 69 people. In court on Wednesday, Breivik's lawyer said his client tried to surrender before authorities caught him, allegedly making 10 calls to police—but only two calls went through because cellular service was overloaded. Norwegian authorities have set up an independent commission to investigate Breivik's claims.
